Efacec deploys IEC 61850 Automation System for EDELNOR in Peru

 

Last August, Efacec has successfully concluded the implementation of a substation control, protection and monitoring system for Malvinas transmission substation in Peru. The project included configuration, installation and commissioning of a complete Automation System.

Contracts in this region of Africa result from the cooperation with our Spanish business partner AEE Power (an international EPC Contractor and Power Developer specialized in the energy industry).

Efacec, as a trusted supplier of substations automation solutions, was selected to deliver the CLP 500SAS automation platform for a completely new system for Alcochete substation (400/60 kV), situated at the centre of Portugal.

Efacec is expanding its presence at the Kenyan market. Recently has received a new order for the supply of automation systems for three substations under expansion. The SAS systems will be deployed at two HV substations (132/33 kV Naivasha & Makutano) and one of 30/6.6 kV (Kabete).

The latest Innovation Projects from Efacec

In the scope of R&D activity, Efacec organized a presentation session of the most recently established joint innovation projects with the Portuguese DSO, EDP Distribuição. The session took place in Lisbon, on October 25th, and was honoured with the presence of the EDP Distribuição CEO, Mr. João Torres, Efacec CEO, Mr. Angelo Ramalho, division managers, R&D engineers and decision makers of both companies.
