Efacec participated at the 2016 CIGRÉ Edition |

Efacec was present at the 2016 CIGRÉ Session (International Council on Large Electric Systems) that took a place in August in Paris, France. |

On the 2016 edition, we presented the latest developments in power systems automation portfolio, with a special focus on new solutions for digital substations, in addition to grid management, substation automation and protection IEDs. Furthermore, other portfolios from Efacec including energy storage, switchgear or power transformers were showcased. |

This year, Efacec marked its presence at the UCA International Users Group booth within UCAIug interoperability demonstration. Our protection relay from Series 500 with process bus subscription, together with system configuration and management tools Automation Studio and System Point, were integrated in this interoperability demonstration. Efacec actively participates in CIGRÉ working groups including SC B5 session (Automation and Protection), B5.59 working group (Requirements for Near-Process Intelligent Electronic Devices), B5.50 working group (IEC 61850-based Substation Automation Systems – Expectation of Stakeholders and User Interaction), as well as at the new B5.02 task force. At this year Session, Efacec participated with a paper: “Towards Optimized Digital Substation Automation Systems”, and was also presented at the poster session |

The 2016 CIGRÉ edition has reached over 8000 participants and 242 exhibitors from 93 countries. It counted with over 3290 international delegates, 36 Study Committee meetings, 163 Working Group meetings, and 7 NC or Regions Meetings. |

The next edition will be held in 2018 in Paris, and Efacec will again be present. |
