Efacec on the forefront of smart grid solutions in Portugal
EDP continuously demonstrates its trust in Efacec’s smart grid solutions. Recently, Efacec has received a new order for supply, configuration and implementation of an innovative solution that comprises large-scale virtual distribution transformer controllers (DTC).

Efacec selected to deliver the RTU solutions for seven Distribution Substations in Portugal
Efacec Automation was selected for the supply of several telecontrol systems for primary distribution substations, based on CLP  500RTU platform. RTUs will be deployed in seven substations.

Efacec to deploy SAS for 500 kV transmission substation in Georgia
Efacec Automation has been awarded a contract for the supply of a substation control, protection and monitoring system for the Jvari transmission substation (500/220/10 kV) through Efacec subsidiary in Austria (Efacec Contracting Central Europe).

Deliveries and project implementations

Over the last months, Efacec Automation carried out a set of implementations, comprising systems installation and commissioning of new systems or expansions and upgrades of existing ones, all over the markets where it is present.

Within all installed systems, we highlight: automation and protection systems for IEC 61850 compliant and conventional T&D substations, and remote terminal units.

Particularly we highpoint the following projects:
- Distribution substations for Chilectra – Chile
- Transmission substation for Transelectrica – Romania
- Distribution substation for EDP – Portugal
- Transmission substation for REN – Portugal
- Transmission and distribution substations for RNT and ENDE – Angola

Efacec’s solution for substation automation, an innovative CLP 500SAS and CLP 500RTU platforms, combines own portfolio of relays, controllers and HMI with IEC 61850 and IEC 61131-3 open systems integration (from communications and scheme programming to engineering and management). These platforms enable multiple field-proven system architectures together with standard function implementations and database, HMI or cabinet designs.

BIEL Light + Building 2015, Buenos Aires - Argentina
Efacec will be present at the 14th BIEL Light + Building that will take place in Argentina - Buenos Aires, at the La Rural Trade Center on September 15-19.

CIRED 2015, Lyon - France
Efacec Automation was present at the 23rd International Conference and Exhibition on Electrical Distribution that took place in Lyon, France.
