Efacec Automation has been awarded a contract for the supply of a substation control, protection and monitoring system for the Jvari transmission substation (500/220/10 kV) through Efacec subsidiary in Austria (Efacec Contracting Central Europe).
Efacec will provide a CLP 500SAS system to Georgian State Electrosystem (GSE). The company is a state-owned joint stock company providing transmission and dispatch services to about 50 eligible companies in the country.
The project includes the supply, configuration and commissioning of a complete substation automation system, integrating Efacec automation products, such as stations server units UC 500E, bay control units BCU 500, and also protection relays from other parties, namely from Siemens. Overall equipment integration will be carried out according to the latest edition of IEC 61850 standard. The supply further includes the communications with the remote SCADA carried out through the IEC standard protocols.
This 500 kV project also constitutes Efacec Automation’s first reference in Georgia, thereby consolidating its position in East Europe. During the years of its activity, Efacec has supplied over 50 automation systems for substation with voltage level of over 400 kV, both in Portugal and overseas market. |
