Efacec Automation is expanding its activities in Africa. Recently, Automation business unit has celebrated a contract for supply of central system for supervision and control of seven distribution substations (with voltage levels of 30 kV, 30/6 kV and 6 kV) for the company of power and water management - EMAE in Sao Tome and Principe.

The system to be supplied for distribution network will be based on the CLP 500 automation platform, integrating user interface HMI 500, and Efacec protection relays from Series 220.

The CLP 500 platform is unified automation solution that includes an extended range of RTUs, protection relays, controllers, gateways and station SCADA/HMI products in a seamlessly integrated and open platform, concerning communications, programming, user interface and engineering.

All products in the CLP 500 platform include support for multiple standard communication protocols, designed with IEC 61850 and object-based automation, enabling the system integrator to deploy seamless and future-ready protection, automation and control solutions. CLP 500 combines field-proven automation and protection with the flexibility of standard IEC 61131-3 programming across the product line.
