International training

Efacec Automation invests to improve its engineering skills

Last April, Efacec Automation organized at its facilities in Portugal, an international training targeted to Efacec worldwide staff and business partners.

The four-day training session counted with the presence of colleagues from different international offices and business associates, namely from Czech Republic, Romania, Peru and Portugal.

The trainees had the chance to learn about substation automation integrated solutions highlighting the CLP 500 platform components, particularly the range of protection relay and digital controller from Series 500 and Series 220. Specific technical hands-on training on Automaton Studio software, applying it in the configuration of protection and automation functions on the TPU 220 and UC 500 at the lab.

Keeping engineering competences at a high level is a key concern for Efacec. Training events are also an experience-sharing opportunity, with enthusiastic participation from trainees.
Tomas Ondracek from Czech Republic, an engineer with 20-year experience as project manager and energy unit manager:
"The training fulfilled my expectations; my goal was a refreshment of my knowledge about automation and protection’s products. Deeper knowledge about the present Automation portfolio allows me to choose effectively and precisely the appropriate protection and automation solution to fulfil the client’s need".
