Efacec Automation, as a trusted supplier of EDP Distribuição (Portuguese DSO), was awarded a contract extension for the supply of a total of 110 pole-top RTU for load break switches spread throughout the Portuguese territory. This contract extension was achieved through Efacec medium voltage equipment division.

The Efacec solution is based on the micro TCMT, a compact module that provides basic measurement and signaling functions, fault detection and control execution. Those pole-top RTU cabinets will be composed by compact RTU, internal power supply manager and integrating fault detectors.

With those cabinets installation the company will continue providing control and supervision of its distribution network.
