Efacec Automation, as a trusted supplier of substations automation solutions, was selected to deliver the CLP 500SAS automation platform for expansion of three REN substations - the Portuguese TSO.

The turnkey systems to be supplied, will include project, configuration, test, installation supervision and commissioning. Our solutions for REN are based on the CLP 500SAS platform, integrating protection relays from third parties.

These installations, featuring protection and control will be expanded in three transmission substations, as follows:
- Bodiosa substation – implementation of a new 60 kV line bay;
- Portimão substation - implementation of a new 400 kV shunt reactance;
- Mourisca substation - implementation of a new 60 kV line bay.

Our CLP 500SAS platform combines unified relay, controller and HMI platform with communications and scheme programming for engineering and management. With this platform the customer totally benefits from the power and flexibility of advanced substation automation, protection and control together with straightforward engineering and management throughout the system lifecycle.
