Distribution Automation & Grid Modernization Summit

May 21-22, 2013 - Charlotte, NC

Efacec ACS will be a participating sponsor at the 3rd annual Distribution Automation & Grid Modernization Business Case Summit to be held at The Blake Hotel in Charlotte, NC.

The event brings together key utility executives from across the US to network and discuss development of a holistic grid modernization plan based on strategic implementation results for improving reliability, resiliency.

Presentations include case studies that help demonstrate the long-term quantifiable benefits of Volt/VAr, DMS, OMS and other distribution automation initiatives.
IEC 61850 Europe

"Achieving Multi-Vendor Interoperability in the Implementation of IEC 61850"

Efacec will be present at the conference and workshop "IEC 61850 Europe" promoted by Phoenix Forums that embrace matters of IEC 61850 implementations. The event will be held in the capital of Czech Republic, Prague, between 22nd and 24th of May.

Efacec fully supports IEC 61850 development efforts and includes IEC 61850 in its product offer from controller and relays, through gateways and SCADA systems, to engineering tools.

With this participation Efacec will be able to learn more about practical and real-life examples of the standard implementations within worldwide TSO and DSO utilities.
And also will share own experience within implemented solutions.
Municipal Smart Grid Summit
June 2-5, 2013 - Palm Beach Gardens, FL

Efacec ACS will again participate as a key vendor and exhibitor at the 2013 Municipal Smart Grid Summit to be held the first week of June at the PGA National Resort in Palm Beach Gardens, FL.

The MSGS is an annual event that brings together executives from over 100 of the top municipal electric utilities throughout the US for two days of informative sessions focused on Smart Grid technology and solutions.  In this unique event format, Efacec ACS will be presenting to groups of executives in several 25-minute sessions over the two days.

Among other solutions, Efacec ACS will highlight the advantages of integrated SCADA/DMS/OMS, Centrix Feeder Automation and RTU upgrades.

CIRED 2013

Efacec will be present at the 22nd International Conference and Exhibition on Electrical Distribution that will take place June 10-13 in Stockholm - Sweden, at the Kistamässan in Kista.

CIRED is a major international electricity conference and exhibition, and a leading forum for the electricity distribution community. It’s organized every two years in various venues in Europe, with a world-wide perspective and participation.

During the 2013 edition, Efacec will be presenting its own Smart Grid portfolio of products and solutions for network management, substation automation, and feeder automation up to the LV network.

Visitors will have first-hand access to demonstrations of selected products and the opportunity to meet and discuss with our industry experts and market managers.

Efacec will be in booth E:02.

2013 EEI Annual Convention
June 9-12, 2013 – San Francisco, CA

The Edison Electric Institute (EEI) is the association of U.S. Shareholder-Owned Electric Companies, with its members serving 95% of the ultimate customers in the shareholder-owned segment of the industry, and representing approximately 70 percent of the U.S. electric power industry.

The EEI Annual Convention brings together executive management from most of the member utilities for a conference involving strategic discussions of key industry issues and an exhibition of key vendors in the industry. 

Efacec will be present as an exhibitor, presenting solution in the areas of Smart Grid automation and power transformers.  Condoleezza Rice, former U.S Secretary of State (2005-2009), will address the Closing General Session on Wednesday morning, June 12.
