Efacec presents R&D activities at two international conferences: IEEE SmartGridComm 2014 that took place in Venice and IEEE PES ISGT Europe 2014 that took place in Istanbul. |

The 2014 edition of IEEE Smart Grid Comm was held on November 3-6 in Venice, Italy. On the occasion of this event, a C-DAX and SmartC2Net joint workshop took place with the title of "Managing Heterogeneous and Secure Communication Networks for Smart Grids". This workshop aimed at addressing the communication challenges of smart grid applications. A holistic communication strategy to manage multiple communication networks, i.e., a scalable information infrastructure supporting a broad range of smart grid applications and communication technologies, as well as managing multiple/heterogeneous communication networks was presented and discussed. |

The 5th IEEE PES Innovative Smart Grid Technologies (ISGT) European 2014 Conference is a platform for the participants from the academia, electric utilities and industry to discuss the cutting-edge innovations in the smart grid and associated technical developments to transform the existing grid into a smart grid including an increasing number of distributed energy resources and storage facilities. The SuSTAINABLE Project was presented, including the main structure and objectives, by several of the project members, including Efacec. |
