Efacec Automation, in cooperation with Switchgear business unit, will supply the automation and control solution for three mobile substations for Edesur in Argentina.
Edesur, a part of Enel Group, is responsible for distribution grid in south region of Capital Federal and several districts of Buenos Aires province. It delivers energy to more than 2.4 million customers.
Efacec Automation will provide solutions for three 132/13.86 kV mobile substation based on its CLP 500 unified solution. This platform will integrate the following Efacec solutions: station servers UC 500E, digital units BCU 500 for bay control, relays from Series 420 for voltage regulation, and third party protection relays. Communication between protection units and company’s protection laboratory will be carried out though the IEC 61850 standard. Connection between automation and control system and protection relays will be hardwired. The supply further includes communications with the remote SCADA carried out through the DNP3.0 slave protocol.
The CLP 500 platform and all products integrated on it, include support for multiple standard communication protocols, are designed with IEC 61850 and object-based automation in mind enabling the system integrator to deploy seamless and future-ready protection, automation and control solutions.
