Efacec Automation was trusted with a contract to deliver the automation system for EDEL’s substation. The installations were performed at the 60/15 kV Encib Camama substation. With conclusion of this project Efacec strengthens its position in the Angolan market.

The solution implemented at the substation is based on the CLP 500SAS platform; integrating Efacec UC 500E station server, terminal protection units and data acquisition units (420 series). All devices communicate through the substation Ethernet LAN according to the standard protocols, including IEC 61850, and are synchronized through GPS signal.

Additionally to Encib Camama, Efacec Automation has other ongoing projects, like substation automation system for Cacuaco Sequele of 60/15 kV, substation that in the future shall be integrated in the SCADA control center, project also of Efacec Automation development.
