The Portuguese transmission system operator REN continues to rely on Efacec Automation products and solutions. The expansion and remodeling works of the automation system at 150 kV line bay of REN Frades substation were completed successfully.

The scope of supply comprised substation automation system, based on technology fully developed by Efacec, CLP 500SAS platform, with integration of digital IEDs from Efacec and protection relays from third parties.

This project confirms, ones again, REN’s preference in Efacec services, demonstrating recognition and confidence placed in Efacec’s automation products and solutions. Recently REN awarded Efacec Automation with four new supplies of SAS for substation, being subject of bay expansions or system revamping.
