Efacec Automation, in the cooperation with other Efacec’s business units, was trusted with a contract to deliver the automation system for MINEA’s (Ministério da Energia e Águas da República de Angola) distribution substations. The systems will be installed in 4 substations located in the Cabinda province, and the substations are as follows Belize, Buco Zau, Dingue and Lândana, all with voltage levels of 60/30 kV.

The solution that will be implemented at the substations is based on the CLP 500SAS platform; integrating products from Efacec own portfolio, namely advanced station server UC 500E, bay control units from Series 500, terminal protections and data acquisition units from 420 IEDs family. The solution will be integrated in accordance with the IEC 61850 standard. All devices will communicate through the substation Ethernet LAN according to the standard protocols and synchronized through GPS signal.
