Efacec has received an order from Chilean company CHILECTRA for the supply of automation system featuring protection and control, in the scope of a transmission substation expansion.

This order includes the extension of the Chena transmission substation of 220/110 kV. The system to be supplied is based on CLP 500SAS platform, technology integrally developed by Efacec. The platform will integrate the new station server units UC 500E, bay control units BCU 500 and third party protection units. The system intercommunications will be upgraded to the IEC 61850 international standard, and all equipment will be synchronized by GPS.

Efacec Automation is pleased to be a part of the Chena substation project since its beginning, with the commissioning of the first automation system concluded by Efacec engineers in 2007.
