Efacec Automation supplies SAS systems for the Middle East market in Bahrain

The Electricity and Water Authority - Bahrain, demonstrates continuous preference to the Efacec technology by trusting a new supply of SAS system to its 66 kV Salmaniya substation, built with the purpose to provide the power to a medical complex.

In the scope of the current supply, Efacec will provide the CLP 500SAS automation platform, integrating third party protection relays, Efacec’s bays control units BCU 500, and communications over the IEC 61850 international standard.

Both companies, Efacec and EWA (as end customer), have been strongly cooperating over nearly 10 years. Currently, EWA can count with more than 50 commissioned substations with Efacec’s state-of-the-art solutions to an autonomous, effective and safe operation of its power grid.
