Efacec Automation concluded the remodeling of a supervision and control system for Sordo small hydro power plant (HPP), located in the North of Portugal in the district of Vila Real.

The scope of remodeling consisted in the replacement of automation units distributed in each of three functional groups, specifically in two generator groups and one general service.

The installed solution is based on the latest CLP 500PAS platform, in a high-reliability configuration and integrating the station servers UC 500E, human machine interface HMI 500, advanced automation controllers DCU 500H.

This HPP is integrated in the National HPP SCADA Centre through the IEC 60870-5-101 standard protocol.
